Spain

August 8, 2008

Sadly, Emma will be leaving me for Spain in September, where she will be studying abroad for a year. Don’t worry – she’ll still be working hard on YCC work, because we just can’t get enough!

Spain is pretty cool.

In the comment section of the Guardian, Spain is praised for the range of new measures being taken to cut carbon emissions (and save much-needed cash). New speed limits, caps on heating, more public transport and new green jobs.

It just goes to show that governments are recognising that business as usual – just isn’t an option anymore.

(Incidentally, it’s not the first time the country is leading the way – it does so again and again!)
