On Friday, I went down to London to meet a group of very cool young people.

The Climate Change Champions are nine young people (14-18), from nine different regions of the UK. They were selected on the strenth of their project proposals, for which they were given £1000 by DEFRA. These ranged from eco-gardens, mini Live Earth concerts and all sorts of creative ways to convince people that emitting carbon is so passé.

They spoke with eloquence and emotion – some of them have spoken in front of various conferences and even for the UN.

Age is not important in understanding the need for action – and this group has got it spot on.

I can’t wait to see what else they’ll produce!
